This product is sensitive to moisture. The vial is packaged in a resealable bag with a desiccant to reduce exposure to moisture. After cold storage, equilibrate the vial to room temperature before opening to reduce condensation inside the vial. Make fresh solutions. Storage of stock solutions is not recommended. After use, return the vial to the resealable bag. Close the bag and store the product at the recommended temperature.
General description
DTME is a homobifunctional, maleimide crosslinker for conjugation between sulfhydryl groups (-SH). Such bismaleimide crosslinkers are commonly used to explore and characterize protein structure (i.e., oligomerization) or protein interactions. DTME is similar in length to BMH but differs in containing a disulfide bond in its spacer arm, allowing crosslinks with DTME to be cleaved with reducing agent such as dithiothreitol (DTT).
SATA Protein Modifier | N-Succinimidyl-S-Acetyl-Thioacetate (SATA) is used to convert primary amine groups into protected sulfhydryl (thiol; -SH) groups. |
Sulfo-NHS-Acetate | Sulfo-NHS-Acetate acylating agent (Sulfosuccinimidyl Acetate) is a water soluble. |
Traut's Reagent | Traut's Reagent (2-Iminothiolane HCl) is commonly used to convert primary amines into sulfhydryl groups in a one-step process is called thiolation. |
HPG | HPG protein modification reagent (p-Hydroxyphenylglyoxal) reacts with arginine residues to give a large increase in absorbance at approximately 340 nm. |
Iodoacetic Acid | Iodoacetic Acid is ≥ 99.0% pure. Iodoacetic acid is used for the modification and alkylation of sulfhydryls (-SH) in cysteine residues found in proteins and peptides. |
BMPA Modifier | BMPA Modifier (N-?-Maleimidopropionic acid) can be used as a protein crosslinker or sulfhydryl (-SH) to carboxylic acid (-COOH) modification reagent. |
